Digging deep into learning and life skills
MTL Nursery Vocational Program teaches vocational landscaping and plant nursery skills to high school students.
The program trains students to open their own landscaping business and create their own employment opportunities. Students gain skills in the classroom and by receiving instruction and practicing skills in the nursery and landscaping business.
Experience is the best teacher
Valuable lessons are learned through personal experience. We want to provide a learning environment that fosters this idea; giving high schools kids a space to work and study will provide confidence by successes and failures in hands-on projects.
Working alongside the future to better the future.
Community involvement is key to this program. Building professional relationships, and receiving feedback from our local community members will help propel this program into areas where we can do the most good.
This program’s goal is to give students an edge to go out in the world, and have the skills to help them succeed.
